Christina Liljenberg es una de las j\u00f3venes promesas del dise\u00f1o n\u00f3rdico, algo de lo que se ha visto rodeada desde peque\u00f1a ya que su madre es sueca y su padre dan\u00e9s. Comenz\u00f3 sus estudios de arte y dise\u00f1o en Estocolmo continu\u00f3 en la Escuela de Dise\u00f1o de la Royal Danish Academy<\/strong>, donde se gradu\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 2007. Estos estudios los complement\u00f3 con una estancia de un a\u00f1o en la Universidad de Arte de Berl\u00edn, en el departamento de textiles.<\/p>\n

Desde su graduaci\u00f3n ha recibido menciones y premio por sus creaciones, adem\u00e1s de haber participado en numerosas exposiciones por todo el mundo. \u00bfQuieres conocerla mejor?<\/p>\n

OcioHogar (OH): \u00bfQu\u00e9 le hizo convertirte en dise\u00f1adora de productos y de mobiliario?<\/strong>
\nChristina Liljenber (CL): Me gusta la relevancia del mobiliario. Los muebles hablan de las proporciones humanas directamente. Los usamos y nos relacionamos con ellos todos los d\u00edas y, funcionan tanto como peque\u00f1as esculturas como piezas muy funcionales.<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfQu\u00e9 necesita un dise\u00f1o para ser un \u00e9xito?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Cubrir una necesidad que tengamos<\/p>\n

OH: De entre todos tus dise\u00f1os, \u00bfcu\u00e1l es tu producto favorito?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Es el taburete Georg. Es un mueble peque\u00f1o y muy pr\u00e1ctico que puede colocarse en muchos lugares diferentes.<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfCu\u00e1l es tu fuente de inspiraci\u00f3n? \u00bfD\u00f3nde encuentras estas fuentes?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Sobre todo la lectura. Me gustan los pensamientos de Naoto Fukasawa y Jasper Morrison y su trabajo Super Normal<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfC\u00f3mo es un d\u00eda normal de trabajo para usted?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Puede ser cualquier cosa desde pintar con spray un proyecto para una exposici\u00f3n, a estar sentada delante del ordenador respondiendo email.<\/p>\n

OH: En su opini\u00f3n, \u00bfcu\u00e1l va a ser el mueble estrella o best-seller de esta temporada?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Wow, no tengo ni idea pero hay muchas y muy bonitas l\u00e1mparas en la actualidad<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfC\u00f3mo ve el futuro del dise\u00f1o de muebles?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Espero que veamos m\u00e1s soluciones sobre c\u00f3mo conseguir bueno lugares de trabajo sin tener que estar sentados en sillas todo el d\u00eda, porque es realmente malo para la mayor\u00eda de la gente.<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfPara qu\u00e9 empresa le gustar\u00eda trabajar?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Mientras que la relaci\u00f3n sea buena, me da igual con quien trabajar. Para m\u00ed un di\u00e1logo positivo y bueno es muy importante.<\/p>\n

OH: Hace poco ha ganado el premio Red Dot Award 2014 por el taburete Georg del que nos ha hablado anteriormente. \u00bfC\u00f3mo ha afectado este premio a su carrera?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Siempre es muy bonito recibir un reconocimiento y estoy muy orgullosa de \u00e9l. El premio ha significado, probablemente, mayor visibilidad. (Puedes ver todos los premios y menciones recibidas en la web de Christina Liljenberg<\/a>)<\/p>\n

OH: Usted es bien conocida por su estilo minimalista mezclado con ra\u00edces n\u00f3rdicas. \u00bfCu\u00e1les son las principales caracter\u00edsticas de estos dos estilos?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Se trata m\u00e1s de un estilo sencillo combinado con gran artesan\u00eda<\/p>\n

OH: El estilo n\u00f3rdico se ha convertido en todo un \u00e9xito en todo el mundo. \u00bfCu\u00e1l es su opini\u00f3n de este fen\u00f3meno como dise\u00f1adora con ra\u00edces suecas y danesas? \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 se ha convertido en un \u00e9xito?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Yo creo que es porque el dise\u00f1o n\u00f3rdico no trata de ser sensacionalista ni alocado. Es tranquilo y, tal vez, no pasa de moda tan r\u00e1pido.<\/p>\n

OH: Usted dise\u00f1a principalmente mobiliario, \u00bfcon qu\u00e9 otro tipo de productos le gustar\u00eda trabajar, por ejemplo: joyer\u00eda, autom\u00f3viles, electrodom\u00e9sticos, etc?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Me gusta trabajar con muebles por el rol que juegan en nuestras vidas cotidianas. Pero estoy abierta a cualquier cosa. Es dif\u00edcil decir un producto espec\u00edfico porque tiene mucho que ver con qui\u00e9n est\u00e9 trabajando.<\/p>\n

Christina Liljenberg is one of the young talents of nordic design, an environment which has surronded her since she was little due to the fact that her mother is Swedish and her father Danish. She began Art and Design studies in Stockolm and continue them in the The Royal Danish Academy, School of Design, where she graduated in 2007. She improved those studies with a year in the Art University of Berlin, in the Textile Departement.
\nSince the end of her studies, she has been awarded with prizes and mentions due to the quality of her creations. Moreover, Liljenber has taken part in a big numer of exhibitions all over the world. Do you want to learn more about her?<\/p>\n

OcioHogar (OH): What made you decide to become a furniture and product designer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christina Liljenber (CL):I like the scale of furniture. they speak to the human proportions very directly. We use and relate to them everyday and they can function as small sculptures at the same time as being very functional.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> What needs a design to become a success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: To fulfill a need thet we actually have.<\/p>\n

OH: Among all your designs, which is your favourite product?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: It is the Georg stool. It is a small practical piece of furniture that can be placed in many different places.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> Which is your source of inspiration? Where do you find those sources?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Mainly from reading. I like the thoughts of Naoto Fukasawa and Jasper Morrison on the Supernormal.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> How is a normal business day for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: It can be anything from spraypainting an exhibition project all day, to sitting in front of the computer answering emails.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> In your opinion, which is going to be the star or best-seller piece of furniture this season?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Wow, I have no Idea, but there are many very nice lamps around<\/p>\n

OH: How do you see the future of furniture design?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: Hopefully we will see more solutions to how we can have good workplaces without sitting on chairs all day long, which is really bad for most people.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> With which company would you like to work for?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: As long as the relationship is good I want to work with anyone. For me the positive dialogue is very important.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> You have recently won the Red Dot Award in 2014 for Georg Stool. How has this award affected your career?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: It is always very nice to get recognition and I am very proud of that. The award probably has meant increased visibility.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> You are well known for the minimalist style mixed with nordic roots? Which are the principal characteristics of this two styles?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: It is often an understated idiom combined with great craftmanship.<\/p>\n

OH:<\/strong> Nordic style has become a success all over the world. Which is your opinion about this for a designer like you with swedish and danish ancestor? Why has it become a success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: I think it is because the \u00abnordic\u00bb style does not try to be sensational and crazy. It is laid back and maybe they don\u00b4t go out of style so fast.<\/p>\n

OH: You design mostly furniture, what kind of different products would you like to work with, for example, jewellery, cars, white goods, etc?<\/strong><\/p>\n

CL: I like working with furniture because of the role it plays in our everyday lives. But I am open to anything. It is difficult to say a specific product, because it has a lot to do with whom I am working with.<\/p>\n
