Angelo Tomaiuolo (AT): Me considero a m\u00ed mismo un arquitecto que dise\u00f1a mobiliario pensando en la relaci\u00f3n entre producto y espacio.<\/p>\n

OH: En su opini\u00f3n, \u00bfqu\u00e9 hace que un dise\u00f1o sea un \u00e9xito?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Una perfecta armon\u00eda entre las ideas del dise\u00f1ador y las necesidades de las personas.<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfCu\u00e1l es su producto favorito de entre todos sus dise\u00f1os?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Cada uno de ellos tiene una buena raz\u00f3n para que lo pueda considerar mi favorito.<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfCu\u00e1les son sus fuentes de inspiraci\u00f3n y d\u00f3nde las encuentra?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Encuentro mis fuentes de inspiraci\u00f3n en la naturaleza, arte, m\u00fasica, literatura, pel\u00edculas\u2026<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfC\u00f3mo es un d\u00eda normal de trabajo para usted?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Cada d\u00eda de trabajo tiene sus peculiaridades, dependiendo del tipo de proyecto en que est\u00e9 trabajando. Normalmente, intento realizar mi trabajo lo mejor que puedo y de forma concentrada y relajada.<\/p>\n

OH: En su opini\u00f3n, \u00bfcu\u00e1l cree que va a ser la pieza estrella de esta temporada?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Hay miles de productos que salen al mercado cada a\u00f1o. Yo creo que es pr\u00e1cticamente imposible hacer una previsi\u00f3n de confianza entre toda esta inmensidad de productos.<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfQu\u00e9 opina sobre el futuro del dise\u00f1o de mobiliario?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: El dise\u00f1o de muebles va a seguir seguro el desarrollo del estatus socioecon\u00f3mico y tecnol\u00f3gico. Adem\u00e1s, yo espero que cada vez sea m\u00e1s sostenible con el medio ambiente y que est\u00e9 al servicio de las personas y su bienestar.<\/p>\n

OH: Usted ha trabajado para importantes empresas. \u00bfCon qu\u00e9 otras compa\u00f1\u00edas le gustar\u00eda trabajar?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Me gustar\u00eda trabajar con todas las empresas que tengan fe en mis cualidades profesionales, y que creen un compa\u00f1erismo estimulante y un buen hacer.<\/p>\n

OH: Usted ha ganado importantes premios en dise\u00f1o. \u00bfQu\u00e9 han significado para usted? \u00bfQu\u00e9 premio le gustar\u00eda ganar?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Los premios son una buena forma de atenci\u00f3n en relaci\u00f3n con la dura investigaci\u00f3n y recursos importantes que se invierten en el trabajo de dise\u00f1o. Entre todos me encantar\u00eda ganar el \u201cCompasso d\u2019Oro\u201d.<\/p>\n

OH: \u00bfCu\u00e1les van a ser sus pr\u00f3ximos productos? \u00bfEn qu\u00e9 tipo de objetos est\u00e1 trabajando?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Ahora mismo, estoy trabajando en un purificador de aire multifuncional, y despu\u00e9s de ello, voy a dise\u00f1ar una colecci\u00f3n de l\u00e1mparas.<\/p>\n

OH: Nosotros vendemos su perchero Oscar para Cattelan Italia. \u00bfPuede contarnos acerca de su proceso de dise\u00f1o o d\u00f3nde encontr\u00f3 la inspiraci\u00f3n?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: El concepto de Oscar est\u00e1 inspirado en la idea del movimiento de las alas al volar, conseguido con la mayor simplicidad y una mezcla perfecta de materiales.<\/p>\n

OH: Usted dise\u00f1a sobre todo mobiliario y accesorios para la casa. \u00bfEn qu\u00e9 otro sector le gustar\u00eda trabajar (ej: joyer\u00eda, automoci\u00f3n\u2026)?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Me gustar\u00eda trabajar en arquitectura, dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos, iluminaci\u00f3n, coches\u2026<\/p>\n

OH: Si no hubiera sido dise\u00f1ador, ser\u00eda\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Posiblemente fuera m\u00fasico ya que tengo una buena relaci\u00f3n con el arte de la m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n

Angelo Tomaiuolo is an Italian designer who is worried about people\u2019s needs and how to find the best solution which fits with the space and which takes care of the environment. He works in architecture projects, industrial design or communication. OcioHogar (OH): What did you become a furniture designer?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Angelo Tomaiuolo (AT): I consider myself mainly as an architect who designs furniture thinking about the relationship between the product and its architectural space.<\/p>\n

OH: In your opinion, what make a design to be a success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: A perfect harmony between designer\u2019s ideas and people\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

OH: Which is your favourite product among all your designs?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Each one of them is supposed to have a good reason to be my favourite one.<\/p>\n

OH: Which is your source of inspiration and where do you find it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: I find my sources of inspiration in nature, art, music, literature, movies…<\/p>\n

OH: How is a normal business day for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Each business day has its peculiarity, depending on the kind of project I\u2019m working on. Usually I try to do my task as best as I can in a focused and relaxing state of mind.<\/p>\n

OH: In your opinion, which is going to be the best-seller piece of furniture this season?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: There are thousands of products that every year come in the market, I think it\u2019s quite impossible to have a reliable forecast in this huge population of products.<\/p>\n

OH: What do you think about the future of furniture design?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Furniture design will certainly follow socio-economic status and technological development as well. Furthermore I hope It will be always more environmentally sustainable, at the service of human being needs and nature health.<\/p>\n

OH: You have worked for important companies. With which other company would you like to work for?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: I would like to work for all that companies who have faith in my professional skills, creating a mood of good and stimulating human partnership.<\/p>\n

OH: You have won important awards in design. What have they meant for you? Which award would you like to win?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Awards are a great form of attention in relation to the hard research and the remarkable resources involved in a design work, amongst all I would love \u201cCompasso d\u2019Oro\u201d.<\/p>\n

OH: Which are going to be your next products? In which kind of products are you working on?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Right now I\u2019m working on an air-purifier multifunctional device, after which I\u2019m going to design a lamp collection.<\/p>\n

OH: We sell your coat hanger Oscar for Cattelan Italia. Could you tell us about its design process or where did you get the inspiration?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: The concept of Oscar is inspired by the idea of the motions of wings in flying, achieved with the maximum of simplicity and a perfect material mix.<\/p>\n

OH: You design mostly furniture and home accessories. In which other sector would you like to work (ej: jewellery, cars\u2026)?<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: I\u2019d like to work on architecture, technological devices, lighting, cars…<\/p>\n

OH: If you weren\u2019t designer, you would be\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

AT: Maybe I would be a musician, since I have a good feeling about the art of music.<\/p>\n
